How did our nation, the United States, get to where we are today? Everywhere I turn there is so much hate, anger, lawlessness, pride and selfishness. Our nation was created and named the United States, but now, in 2023 it is the furtherest from being a united nation that our country has ever seen.

As I read the Bible, the Holy Spirit continues to open my eyes and reveal the Truth to the answers to every question. The Bible Speaks in 2 Timothy 3: 1 - 5 "That in the last days men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power." Clearly we are in the last days, the evidence is obvious and God speaks accurately on the conditon of humanity before His coming.

Christians like to point the finger and blame the leaders in power, but whose fault is it really? The Bible says in 1 Timothy 2: 1 - 4  "Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverance. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of truth." If we actively stood in prayer and fasting for our president/leaders we would experience a quiet and peaceable life, this is a promise from the Lord.

Our responsibility as the Church is to pray for our leaders, that God would raise up Presidents, Governors, Senators and Mayors who fear the Lord and are about expanding/representing God's kingdom, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God. We have fallen short in stewarding the responsibility of praying for our leaders in the nation, resulting in the world we live in today. We need to humble ourselves and to pray that God will remove the heart of stone in our leaders, deliver them from demonic oppression, heal their minds and souls, and raise strong God-fearing leaders that will carry out divine order in our nation.

God's judgement is what we are experiencing in our nation because we failed to pray for Godly leaders in our country. God is faithful, abounding in mercy, righteous, holy and our only hope. I pray by the mercy of God that we the church will stand in prayer for our leaders, that our nation will be turned around and mass revival, deliverance, and healing will break out. Greater is He that in us than he that is in the world, In Jesus' mighty name!
